Surface should always be wiped with an acceptable solvent for removing grease and oil. Light sanding or abrasive blasting should be used on aluminum that is not anodized or alodized to assure good adhesion. Painting over previously painted aluminum, such as siding, should be thoroughly washed using Graco Power Washing equipment. |

Total cure (generally 30 to 60 days) is required before painting. Alkali deposits on damp or new concrete may cause discoloration or lifting of coating. Smooth troweled concrete should be abrasive blasted to remove glaze. Vacuum to remove all loose material. |

Knots, sap streaks and pitch areas should be sealed with quality shellac (such as B-I-N). Nail holes and cracks should be filled, and sand new or unfinished wood as desired. |
